About room2let

room2let is a short-term rental marketplace operated under European and Swiss law. We connect travellers with hosts across the EU and Switzerland — for weekends, summer holidays, business trips, and longer stays.

Why we built this

Most marketplaces route data through US servers and apply US contract law. We wanted a platform where data residency is guaranteed in Europe by default, where hosts know exactly where their bookings are processed, and where the platform fee is transparent.

Where your data lives

• Application + database: Switzerland (Infomaniak / Exoscale)
• Photo storage: S3-compatible Swiss provider
• Payments: Stripe (Ireland + US, under EU Standard Contractual Clauses)
• Email: EU-region transactional provider

Compliance

We operate under GDPR (EU 2016/679) and Swiss FADP. Self-serve data export and account deletion are available from your profile.
